Cyprus' merchandise trade deficit decreased in March, data released by the statistical office showed Friday.
The trade deficit dropped to EUR 252.13 million in March from EUR 286.91 million in February. In March 2012, the balance was a deficit of EUR 398.66 million.
The value of exports was EUR 116.6 million in March, of which EUR 62.6 million were dispatches to other member states of the European Union, and EUR 54 million were shipped to third countries.
The value of total imports was EUR 368.8 million, of which EUR 276.2 million were from EU member countries, and EUR 92.6 million from countries outside the EU, data showed.
