Dutch retail sales turnover continued its downward trend in March, Statistics Netherlands reported Tuesday.
Reflecting a decline in non-food store sales, overall retail sales turnover dropped 5.3 percent year-on-year, sharper than the 4.6 percent decrease logged in February.
Retail sales volume plunged at a pace of 7.8 percent, after easing 7 percent in the prior month. Meanwhile, prices gained 2.6 percent, the same rate of growth as seen in January and February.
