Hilton Food Group plc (HFG.L), which engages in specialty retail meat packing business, Wednesday said the performance for the period from December 31 to date has been in line with its expectations. The firm benefited from their geographical diversity and experienced business growth, while some markets faced challenging conditions for the consumer.
Western Europe business picked up well for the period, and the firm stated that their new facility at Denmark is progressing well. There has been turnover growth in Sweden, and the Dutch business is benefiting from new product lines, the firm said in a statement. UK and Irelands's business were challenging, while Central Europe where the firm supplies to seven countries performed well.
In Australia, the development work by the Joint Venture at Bunbury is proceeding in line with the agreed plan.
