Greek Producer Prices Fall For Second Month

Greece's producer prices decreased for the second consecutive month in April, and at a faster rate than in the previous month, data released by the Hellenic Statistical Authority showed Wednesday.

The producer price index declined 2.7 percent on an annual basis in April, after falling 1.5 percent in March. In February, prices had recorded a 0.8 percent increase.

Prices of goods sold in the domestic market decreased 2.3 percent from a year earlier in April, and prices in the non-domestic market fell by 3.9 percent.

On a monthly basis, output prices decreased 1.3 percent in April, faster than the 1.1 percent decline seen in the previous month, data showed.
