TD Ameritrade Holding Corp. (AMTD) reported an average of 417,000 client trades per day in May 2013, up 13 percent from May 2012.
As of May 31, 2013, total client assets were $530.9 billion, up 23 percent from May 2012.
Average spread-based balances for the month rose 14% to $83.8 billion, from last year, while average fee-based balances totaled $119.9 billion, up 37 percent from the prior year.
