Pilgrim's Pride Corp. (PPC) climbed during the first half hour of trade Friday and extended its gains in the final 90 minutes of the afternoon. The stock closed up by 2.55 at $14.13, with volume at nearly a 3-month high.
Pilgrim's Pride surged past the upper end of a 3-week trading range Friday and set a new high for the year.
