European Economics Preview: U.K. Jobless Data Due

Unemployment from the U.K. and industrial output from Eurozone are due on Wednesday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 2.00 am ET, Germany's statistical office is slated to release final inflation figures for May. HICP inflation is expected to match the flash estimate of 1.7 percent.

At 2.45 am ET, the French statistical office Insee is scheduled to publish consumer prices for May. EU harmonized inflation is seen at 0.9 percent, up from 0.8 percent in April.

At 3.00 am ET, final inflation data is due from Spain's statistical office. Inflation is expected to match the flash estimate of 1.8 percent in May.

At 3.55 am ET, Iceland's central bank is set to announce its interest rate decision.

Italy's final inflation data for May is due at 4.00 am ET. According to preliminary estimate, EU harmonized inflation was 1.3 percent.

Half an hour later, UK labor market statistics is due. The claimant count rate is seen unchanged at 4.5 percent in May. During three months to April, the jobless rate is expected to remain unchanged at 7.8 percent.

Eurostat is slated to publish Eurozone industrial production at 5.00 am ET. Economists forecast output to remain flat month-on-month in April after rising 1 percent in March.
