Turkey's consumer confidence weakened in June after an improvement in the previous month, data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute showed Thursday.
The consumer confidence indicator fell to 76.2 from 77.5 in May. The indicator declined for the first time in three months.
Households' expectations over their financial situation deteriorated in June with the corresponding index falling to 92.4 from 94.4. Their view on the general economic situation weakened sharply and the relevant index dropped to 102 from 104.7.
People hope to save more in the next 12 months, even as they expect unemployment to rise in coming months.
