Denmark's unemployment rate declined modestly from the previous month in May, data released by Statistics Denmark showed Thursday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate dropped to 5.8 percent in May from 5.9 percent in April. In March, the jobless rate was 5.8 percent.
The unemployment rate among youth, aged between 16 and 24, was 5 percent in May, which was slightly lower than 5.1 percent recorded in the previous month.
The total number of jobless persons in the country decreased by 2,700 from the previous month to 153,500 in May, data showed.
