Australia saw a seasonally adjusted unemployment rate of 5.7 percent in June, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday.
That missed forecasts for 5.6 percent - which would have been unchanged from the previous month following the revision up from 5.5 percent.
The Australian economy added 10,300 jobs, beating expectations for a flat reading after easing a revised 700 jobs in May.
