Hong Kong will on Thursday post unemployment data for June, highlighting a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. Analysts are expecting the rate to hold steady at 3.4 percent.
Japan will release June figures for department store sales; in May, Tokyo sales were up 5.1 percent on year and nationwide sales added an annual 2.6 percent.
Australia will provide May numbers for the Conference Board Leading Index, June figures for foreign exchange transactions and Q2 results for the NAB Business Confidence survey.
The Conference Board's index was up 0.3 percent in April, while FX transactions were worth A$490 million in May and the business survey saw a score of 2 in the first quarter.
New Zealand will release June numbers for job advertisements, plus July results for the ANZ consumer confidence index. Job ads were down 1.7 percent on month in May, while the confidence index added 0.2 percent in June to a score of 123.9.
