Iceland's inflation accelerated in July, after holding steady in previous two months, data released by Statistics Iceland showed on Wednesday.
Inflation, based on the consumer price index, rose to 3.8 percent
in July from 3.3 percent recorded in each of the previous three months. The latest inflation figure is the highest since 3.9 percent in March.
Consumer prices, excluding housing costs, also rose 3.8 percent annually in July.
The consumer price index declined 0.3 percent month-on-month in June, following a 0.5 percent rise in the previous month,
data showed. Excluding housing costs, the CPI fell 0.61 percent.
