Luxembourg Inflation Slows For Third Month

Luxembourg's consumer price inflation eased for the third straight month in September, data released by the statistical agency STATEC showed Wednesday.

The consumer price index rose 1.50 percent annually, after climbing 1.76 percent in August. Inflation was 2.06 percent in June and 1.84 percent in July.

Month-on-month, prices increased for a second straight month, up 0.17 percent in September. It was slower than August's 1.46 percent rise.

While, the increase in the prices of oil products was the biggest driver of monthly inflation, they remained well below their level a year ago. Excluding oil product prices, prices were nearly at a standstill, the agency said.
