One Dead, Two Injured After Being Hit By Train On N.J. Rail Bridge

A man was killed and his two friends were injured on Tuesday when they were struck by a New Jersey Transit train as they walked across a railroad bridge, officials said.

The victims, all male, were on a bridge near Dover in northwest New Jersey which is closed to the public, The Star-Ledger of Newwark reported.

The two injured were taken by helicopter to Morristown Medical Center, according to a spokesman.

Witnesses claimed there were two more people in the vicinity, but police said they weren't able to find anyone else.
