New Zealand Performance Of Services Index Dips To 56.3

An index measuring the performance of the services sectors in New Zealand came in with a score of 56.3 in November, the latest survey from Business New Zealand revealed on Monday.

That's down from the revised 57.7 in October (originally 58.2), although it remains well above the boom-or-bust score of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.

Among the individual components of the survey, new businesses and orders slid to 60.8 from 63.0 in the previous month.

Employment climbed from 52.8 to 54.4, while activity/sales slid from 60.9 to 58.3.
