Oregon Couple Attempted To Tip Waitress With Crystal Meth

Oregon police have arrested a couple who are accused of trying to tip their restaurant waitress with an envelope of crystal meth.

Ryan Bensen, 40 and Erica Murphy, 37, dined last Thursday night at the Twisted Fish Steakhouse in Seaside and they paid their bill with a gift card, the Portland Oregonian reported Wednesday.

The couple handed their waitress an envelope marked with a question mark as a tip. The waitress examined the contents only to find it was crystal meth, restaurant manager Steve Keszler said.

Police said they found a meth lab at the Holiday Inn Express room the couple was staying.

Benson was arrested on charges possession and manufacture of methamphetamine. Manley was charged with possessing, delivering and manufacturing meth.
