Eurozone's construction output for December is due out at 5:00 am ET. The seasonally adjusted construction output dropped 0.6 percent month-over-month and 1.7 percent year-on-year in November.
The euro drifted lower against its major rivals ahead of the report. As of 4:55 am ET, the common currency was trading at 1.2220 against the Swiss franc, 0.8240 against the pound, 140.38 against the yen and 1.3748 against the US dollar.
