ServiceNow Q1 Loss Widens

ServiceNow, Inc. (NOW) reported that its first-quarter net loss was $43.3 million, or $0.30 per share, wider than $13.4 million, or $0.10 per share in the comparable quarter last year.

Adjusted net loss widened to $11.7 million or $0.08 per share from $1.9 million or $0.01 per share in the year-ago period. On average, 22 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report a loss of $0.08 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues for the quarter were $139.09 million, up from $85.94 million, while nineteen analysts expected revenue of $134.64 million for the quarter.

Looking ahead, the company expects second-quarter revenue to be in the range of $160 million to $162 million. Analysts expect the company to report second-quarter revenue of $156.69 million.

For 2014, the company expects 2014 revenue to be in the range of $652 million to $657 million. Analysts expect the company to report fiscal 2014 revenue of $644.24 billion.
