Japan consumer confidence improved for the third consecutive month in July, data from the Cabinet Office showed Monday.
The consumer confidence index rose to 41.5 in July from 41.1 in June. The survey was conducted by the Cabinet Office on July 15 among 8,400 households.
The three-sub indices increased from June, while one remained unchanged in July. The overall livelihood index rose by 0.1 point to 38.5 in July. The indicators for income growth advanced 1.2 to 39.1 and that for employment by 0.3 point to 48.7 in July.
The willingness to buy durable goods remained unchanged at 39.6 in July.
