Inflation expectations for the upcoming year decreased during the third quarter, the results of a survey published by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand showed Tuesday.
The one-year inflation expectation decreased to 1.96 percent. In the previous quarter, the inflation expectation was at 2.08 percent.
The two-year inflation expectation also dropped to 2.23 percent in this quarter from 2.36 percent.
Respondents' expectations concerning GDP growth one-year-ahead and two year-ahead slid 0.2 percentage points each to 3.1 percent and 2.7 percent , respectively.
For unemployment, the one-year expectation decreased 0.1 percentage point to 5.5 percent while the two-year expectations remained at 5.3 percent.
