Expedia Inc. (EXPE) Is Climbing After Q3 Profit Exceeded Expectations

Expedia Inc. (EXPE) reported third quarter adjusted EPS of $1.93 after the bell Thursday, which topped the consensus estimate of $1.74. Revenue increased to $1.71 billion from $1.40 billion, a year ago. The consensus estimate was for revenues of $1.68 billion.

Expedia pulled back in early trade Thursday, but climbed back into positive territory in the early portion of the afternoon. The stock finished up by 1.19 at $80.73 on above average volume. Expedia has been moving in a narrow range for the past week and a half.
