Nuance Communications Inc (NUAN), a provider of voice and language solutions, Monday reported fourth-quarter net loss of $1.5 million or $0.00 per share compared with a loss of $32 million or $0.10 per share last year.
Excluding items, adjusted earnings for the quarter were $0.33 per share compared with earnings of $0.30 per share a year ago.
Revenues for the quarter were $502 million compared with $472 million in the prior year.
Adjusted revenues for the quarter were $520 million compared with $490 million a year ago.
Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters estimated earnings of $0.27 per share on revenues of $510.8 million for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
