Turkey's unemployment rate increased in September, a report from the Turkish Statistical Institute showed Monday.
The seasonally adjusted jobless rate climbed to 10.7 percent in September from 10.4 percent in August. In the same period of last year, the rate was 9.4 percent.
The number of unemployed people increased to 3.097 million from 2.994 million in the previous month.
On an unadjusted basis, the unemployment rate came in at 10.5 percent. Among the youth, aged between 15 and 24, the jobless rate was 19.1 percent.
