Job vacancies in Australia rebounded in the three month period to November to reach its highest in two years, figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics showed Wednesday.
The number of job vacancies climbed a seasonally adjusted 2.6 percent in the November quarter, in contrast to a 0.4 percent fall in the August quarter.
Job vacancies totaled to 150,400 in the three-month period to November from 146,600 in the previous three months ended in August. In the same period last year, the figures was 139,300.
Vacancies in the private sector rose a seasonally adjusted 2.8 percent in the November quarter, reversing a 0.6 percent decline in the previous quarter.
Meanwhile, public sector vacancies increased at a slower pace of 0.5 percent after the 2.3 percent growth seen in the previous three-month period.
On an annual basis, total job vacancies advanced 8.0 percent in November, in contrast to a 15.7 percent slump in the same month last year.
