Thai Exports Rise In December

Thailand's exports recovered in December but it fell slightly over the whole year of 2014, the Commerce Ministry reported Tuesday.

In December, exports increased 1.9 percent reversing last month's 1 percent fall. At the same time, imports were down 8.7 percent versus a 3.5 percent drop in November.

The trade balance showed a surplus of $1.58 billion compared to a deficit of $78 million in November.

In 2014, exports slid 0.4 percent and imports plunged 9 percent.
