Real estate mogul Donald Trump announced Wednesday he is forming an exploratory committee to determine whether to run for president in 2016.
In a statement announcing the committee, Trump claimed he is the only one who can make America truly great again.
"I have a great love for our country, but it is a country that is in serious trouble," Trump said. "We have lost the respect of the entire world."
He added, "Americans deserve better than what they get from their politicians — who are all talk and no action!"
Along with forming the committee, Trump has also hired staff in early primary states such as Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.
Trump, who is also well known as the host of NBC's "The Apprentice," has previously flirted with running for president but eventually backed out.
In a sign of the uphill battle awaiting the businessman, a recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll found that 74 percent of Republican primary voters could not see themselves supporting Trump.
Trump is scheduled to visit New Hampshire on Thursday to meet with a group of local veterans and business owners.
