South Korea Money Supply Growth Stable In February

South Korea's money supply growth held steady in February, after easing in the previous two months, figures from Bank of Korea showed Wednesday.

M2, a broad measure of money supply, rose a seasonally adjusted 8.0 percent year-over-year in February, the same rate of increase as in January.

On a monthly basis, M2 money supply increased at a faster pace of 1.0 percent in February, following a 0.2 percent climb in the prior month.

Annual growth in liquidity accelerated to 8.6 percent in February from 8.4 percent at the start of the year. Month-on-month, it went up 0.7 percent, but slower than previous month's 1.1 percent hike.
