Spain's industrial production accelerated for the second straight month in February, data from the statistical office INE showed Friday.
Industrial production advanced working-day adjusted 0.6 percent from last year, faster than a revised 0.1 percent rise in January. It was forecast to edge up 0.1 percent.
On an unadjusted basis, industrial output grew 1.1 percent reversing January's 2.5 percent fall.
Production of capital goods and intermediate goods increased 3 percent and 1.5 percent respectively. Meanwhile, consumer goods production declined 1.8 percent. Energy output remained flat from last year.
Month-on-month, industrial production rose 0.7 percent in February compared to a flat change a month ago.
