Silver Wheaton Corp. (SLW) announced Tuesday that it has received a proposal letter from the Canada Revenue Agency proposing to reassess Silver Wheaton under various rules contained in the Income Tax Act (Canada).
Silver Wheaton gapped open lower Tuesday and declined during the first hour of trade. The stock slipped further around mid-afternoon and closed down by 2.08 at $15.46 on the highest volume of the year. Silver Wheaton has been declining for the past month and a half and set a new low for the year.
