New Zealand Money Supply Growth Eases In July

New Zealand's money supply growth eased in July after accelerating in the previous two months, figures from the Reserve Bank of New Zealand showed Monday.

The broad money supply, or M3, grew 9.3 percent year-over-year to NZ$298.16 billion in July. This follows a 9.5 percent climb in June.

In the corresponding month of the preceding year, money supply had risen 5.4 percent.

The intermediate money supply, or M2, increased at a slower pace of 14.9 percent annually in July, following a 15.8 percent sharp rise in June.

On a monthly basis, the broad money supply went up 0.6 percent in July after a 1.4 percent hike in the prior month.
