Dutch industrial production increased for the fifth straight month in July, but at a slower pace than in the previous month, figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics showed Wednesday.
The average daily output of the Dutch manufacturing industry climbed 0.6 percent year-over-year in July, much slower than June's 4.4 percent growth. In May, production had risen 2.2 percent.
Production of transport equipment expanded 12.0 percent annually in July and that for pharmaceutical industry grew by 7 percent.
At the same time, output in the chemical industry dropped 2 percent and the production of electrical appliances, food and metal products was also lower than a year ago.
On a monthly basis, industrial production fell a seasonally adjsuted 0.3 percent in July.
