Zac Brown Band's "Chicken Fried" has been named the most popular tailgating song across all genres of music.
According to a Spotify analysis, which looked through more than 4,000 tailgating playlists to find the songs that appeared most frequently, ZBB's "Chicken Fried" topped that list. Not only in the realm of country music either.
Country dominated the Spotify list, including Luke Bryan's "That's My Kind of Night" and "Play It Again," "This Is How We Roll" and "Cruise" from Florida Georgia Line, Darius Rucker's "Wagon Wheel" and Brad Paisley's "Crushin' It."
"Chicken Fried" became the Zac Brown Band's first charting single in late 2008, then their first number one hit on Billboard's country charts, selling over 4.5 million copies of the single in the U.S. alone.
