Greece's unemployment rate decreased in October after remaining stable in the previous month, figures from the Hellenic Statistical Authority showed Thursday.
The seasonally adjusted jobless rate dropped marginally to 24.5 percent in October from 24.6 percent in September, the same rate as in August.
In the corresponding month of the preceding year, the unemployment rate was 26.0 percent.
The number of unemployed people decreased by 8,289 from September and by 71,492 from October 2014.
At the same time, the number of employed people grew by 2,191 monthly in October and by 86,295 compared with the same month last year.
The youth unemployment rate, which applies to the 15 to 24 age group, came in at 48.6 percent in October, down from 51.3 percent a year earlier.
