Hong Kong's jobless rate remained unchanged for a sixth consecutive month in December, figures from the Census and Statistics Department showed Tuesday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate was 3.3 percent in the three months to December, where it has been since the three-month period to July.
The unadjusted jobless rate fell to 3.1 percent from 3.3 percent.
On an unadjusted basis, the number of unemployed persons decreased by around 7,500 persons to 121,600 in October - December period. Total employment increased by around 13,300 to 3.80 million in December.
For the full year 2015 as a whole, both the labor force and total employment grew further by 1.3 percent and the unemployment rate held stable at 3.3 percent, the agency said.
"While the labor market held stable in overall terms throughout 2015, in view of the considerable downside risks to the near-term economic outlook, especially the sustained weak trend in inbound tourism, we will stay vigilant and closely monitor developments, in particular the employment situation of grassroots workers," Labour and Welfare Secretary Matthew Cheung said.
