Italy's industrial orders grew for the second straight month in November, data from the statistical office Istat showed Monday.
Industrial orders rose 1.6 percent month-over-month in November, but slower than the 4.6 percent gain in the preceding month.
Demand from the domestic markets climbed 4.4 percent in November, while orders from the foreign market went down by 2.5 percent.
However, industrial orders surged 12.1 percent annually in November, much faster than the 2.2 percent increase a month earlier.
At the same time, industrial sales dropped a seasonally adjusted 1.1 percent monthly in November, reversing a 1.9 percent spike in October.
On a yearly basis, industrial turnover inched up a calendar-adjusted 0.8 percent in November, following a 1.6 percent rise in the previous month.
