South Korea Consumer Confidence Index Dips In February

Consumer confidence in South Korea eased in February, the latest survey from the Bank of Korea showed on Thursday with an index score of 98.0 - down from 100.0 in January.

Consumer sentiments concerning both current living standards and their future outlook remained unchanged at 90 and 96, respectively.

Consumer sentiment for current domestic economic conditions was three points lower than in January at 65, and that for their future outlook three points lower at 75.

Consumer sentiment related to prospective changes in household income was 98, down from 100 in January, while that concerning expected spending had fallen by two points to 105.

The expectation for inflation over the following year was 2.5 percent.
