Spain's industrial production grew at a slower pace in February, data from the statistical office INE showed Thursday.
Industrial production climbed by working-day adjusted 2.2 percent year-on-year, slower than the 3.4 percent expansion seen in January.
Among components, output of consumer goods grew 4.1 percent and equipment output surged 6.1 percent. Likewise, intermediate goods production increased 3.6 percent. On the other hand, energy production plunged 8 percent.
On an unadjusted basis, growth in industrial production accelerated to 5.9 percent from 0.7 percent a month ago.
Month-on-month, industrial output declined for the second straight month in February. Output slid 0.2 percent in February and 0.1 percent in January.
