Dutch Export Growth Slows In February

Dutch export growth eased in February after accelerating sharply in the previous month, figures from the Central Bureau of Statistics showed Wednesday.

The volume of exports climbed 3.0 percent year-over-year in February, slower than January's 1-year high of 5.0 percent gain. Exports have been rising since June 2014.

In February, Dutch firms exported more oil and metal products. Shipments of cars and trucks were also higher than a year earlier. Meanwhile, they were exported less gas.

Annual growth in imports eased markedly to 5.9 percent in February from 9.4 percent in the preceding month.
