Consumer confidence in South Korea slowed slightly in May, the latest survey from the Bank of Korea showed on Thursday with a score of 99.0 - down from 101.0 in April.
Consumer sentiment concerning current living standards was unchanged at 91, while that concerning their future outlook was two points lower than in April, at 96.
Consumer sentiment as to current domestic economic conditions was four points below its April figure at 70, while that for their future outlook was six points lower at 80.
Consumer sentiment related to future household income was 98, one point less than in April, and that concerning expected spending was also one point lower at 105.
The expectation for inflation over the following year was 2.4 percent.
