Inflation expectations in Australia increased in June, survey data from the Melbourne Institute showed Thursday.
The expected inflation rate over the next twelve months rose by 0.3 percentage points to 3.5 percent in June from 3.2 percent in May.
In June, the weighted proportion of respondents expecting the inflation rate to fall within the 0-5 per cent range climbed by 1.0 percentage points to 69.3 per cent.
The weighted mean of responses within this range also edged up to 2.4 percent from 2.2 per cent in May.
