House prices in majority of the Chinese cities increased in June, figures from the National Bureau of Statistics showed Monday.
On a monthly basis, home prices climbed 55 cities out of 70 surveyed by the government. It dropped in 10 cities and remained flat in 5 cities.
The highest increase in house prices were noted in Hefei, by 4.9 percent and the steepest decrease was seen in Jinxhou, by 0.5 percent.
Compared with the corresponding month last year, house prices grew in 57 cities out of the 70 cities in June, while it fell in 12 cities.
