India Leading Economic Index Declines In June

An indicator signaling turning points in the Indian economy declined for the first time in three months in June, the Conference Board said Friday.

The leading index for India dropped -0.1 percent month-on-month to 101.4 in June. The indicator fell for the first time since March.

In May, the leading index rose 0.2 percent.

The coincident index that reflects the current economic situation rose 0.9 percent in June to 109.6. In May, the gauge climbed 1.7 percent. The measure increased for a third straight month.
