The two-year ahead inflation expectations in New Zealand increased fractionally in the September quarter, a quarterly survey published by the Reserve Bank of New Zealand showed Tuesday.
Expectations for the next two year edged up to 1.65 percent from 1.64 percent in the previous survey. The survey was conducted by the Nielsen Company for the RBNZ.
Inflation expectations for the next twelve months also accelerated slightly to 1.26 percent from 1.22 percent in the preceding three months.
At the same time, inflation expectations for the next quarter eased to 0.27 percent from 0.37 percent in the prior quarter.
The indicator measuring perceptions of monetary conditions for the year ahead worsened further to -67.30 from -63.50 in the previous quarter.
