South Korea's money supply growth accelerated in June, preliminary figures from the Bank of Korea showed Wednesday.
M2, a broad measure of money supply, grew 7.2 percent year-over-year in June, faster than May's 6.7 percent climb.
On a monthly basis, M2 money supply increased at a stable pace of 0.7 percent in June.
The annual growth in liquidity accelerated to 7.3 percent in June from 7.1 percent in the prior month. Similarly, liquidity of financial institutions rose at a faster pace of 8.0 percent in June after a 7.7 percent spike a month ago.
