The trade balance revealed a deficit of EUR 0.3 billion versus EUR 0.4 billion surplus in the same month last year. In May, the trade surplus was EUR 1.1 billion.

Exports fell 0.1 percent year-on-year after 5.9 percent growth in the previous month. Imports grew 3 percent after remaining flat in May.
