Wage growth in Australia was up a seasonally adjusted 2.1 percent on year in the second quarter of 2016, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Wednesday.
That was unchanged from the previous three months, and it exceeded forecasts for 2.0 percent.
On a quarterly basis, wage growth gained 0.5 percent - in line with expectations and up from 0.4 percent in the three months prior.
Wage growth in the private sector added 0.5 percent on quarter and 2.0 percent on year, while growth in the public sector gained 0.6 percent on quarter and 2.4 percent on year.
