China Home Prices Climb In July

House prices in majority of the Chinese cities increased in June, figures from the National Bureau of Statistics showed Thursday.

On a monthly basis, house prices rose 51 cities out of 70 surveyed by the government. It fell in 16 cities and remained flat in 3 cities.

The highest rise in house prices were noted in Xiamen, by 4.6 percent and the steepest decline was seen in Shaoguan, by 1.1 percent.

Compared with the same month of last year, house prices grew in 58 cities out of the 70 cities in July, while it dropped in 16 cities.
