European Economics Preview: Russia's Central Bank Set To Cut Rates

The announcement of interest rate decision from Russia is due on Friday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 3.00 am ET, the Czech Statistical Office is scheduled to issue producer prices for August. Economists forecast producer prices to fall 3.2 percent annually after easing 4 percent in July.

At 4.00 am ET, Italy's statistical office Istat publishes foreign trade data for July. The trade surplus totaled EUR 4.66 billion in June.

At 5.00 am ET, Eurozone labor cost data is due for the second quarter. Labor cost advanced 1.7 percent annually in the first quarter.

At 6.30 am ET, Russia's central bank announces its interest rate decision. The bank is widely expected to cut its key rate to 10.00 percent from 10.50 percent.

At 8.00 am ET, Poland's average gross wages figures are due. Economists forecast gross wages to fall 1.6 percent on month in August, reversing a 0.9 percent rise in July.
