Singapore's gross domestic product added 0.6 percent on year in the third quarter of 2016, the Ministry of Trade and Industry said in Friday's preliminary estimate.
That follows the downwardly revised 2.0 percent gain in the three months prior (originally 2.1 percent).
On a quarterly annualized basis, the Singapore economy contracted 4.1 percent after adding a downwardly revised 0.2 percent in the previous three months (originally 0.3 percent).
Among the goods producing industries, the manufacturing sector slid 17.4 percent on quarter and 1.1 percent on year after gaining 2.1 percent on quarter and 1.4 percent on year in Q2.
The construction sector added 0.5 percent on quarter and 2.5 percent on year after rising 1.1 percent on quarter and 2.6 percent on year.
The service producing industries fell 1.9 percent on quarter and 0.1 percent on year after shedding 0.9 percent on quarter and gaining 1.2 percent on year.
