European Economics Preview: U.K. Unemployment Data Due

Labor market statistics from the U.K. is due on Wednesday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 4.30 am ET, the Office for National Statistics publishes U.K. unemployment data. The jobless rate is forecast to remain unchanged at 4.9 percent in three months to August.

The U.K. claimant count is forecast to increase 3,200 in September after rising 2,400 in August.

At 5.00 am ET, Eurostat releases construction output figures for August. Eurozone construction output had advanced 1.8 percent on month in July.

At 8.00 am ET, industrial output and producer prices are due from Poland. Production is forecast to expand 10.9 percent month-on-month in September following a 3.3 percent rise in August.

Producer prices are expected to climb 0.2 percent annually, reversing a 0.1 percent fall in August.
